With
Valentine week, love is in the air and I thought it is the perfect time for me
to pen my travel experience from recent Paris trip. Paris is so rightly
called the city of love ๐crisscrossed by the river Seine that adds to its beauty. Major global center for art, fashion and culture, the iconic Eiffel
tower is the prime center of attraction. This place features from kid’s favorite
Disneyland to the spiritual Notre Dame cathedral to the majestic palace of Versailles – a complete package for a vacation! We stayed at IBIS Styles Paris place
d’italie - lovely hotel, comfortable stay and close proximity to the metro. We
spent around 4 days in this pretty city – continue reading for detailed review.
Day 1
We
reached Paris in the afternoon. After a quick check-in we grabbed quick bites
and dozed off as we were really tired due to the over-night bus journey from
Barcelona to Paris. We had already booked our visit to the Eiffel tower for
this date and our slot was in the evening. We had bought tickets with Lift
access to the top. For more details and
booking please visit their official website - https://www.toureiffel.paris/en Got
dressed in my favorite dress and we headed to this monument and I was awestruck
by its magnanimous beauty. One can get a bird’s eye view of this city from the
top and you will never feel like returning back. There is a restaurant as well
within the tower at first floor to satiate the hungry stomachs! Also there is a
gift shop for you to buy souvenirs for your near and dear ones. After exploring
the place, we went ahead to buy some crepes for our sweet tooth. As we were
soaking the city’s beauty, the clock struck 9 and the Eiffel tower was lit in
sparkling lights for about 5 minutes. Do check out the video above. We strolled across the streets, got
clicked with the graffiti’s and finally reached back around midnight ๐

Day 2
After a scrumptious breakfast, we headed towards Arc De Triomphe. (Indians might get a feeling of India Gate ๐) It was a bright sunny day and we clicked loads of pics standing in the divider of the road !๐Hopping on and off the city bus we reached Pont Alexandre III. This bridge is known from its ornate architecture in Paris. Strolling further we reached Place de la Concorde and it is one of the largest public squares in Paris. Right across the monument, is the Tuileries Garden which became a public park after French revolution. We roamed around the park, basked in the sun admiring nature's beauty. After spending for around 30-40 minutes, we approached on the other end of the garden and there stood the famous Louvre Museum which boasts of the Leonardo da Vinci's art work - Mona Lisa. Signature glass pyramid marked its entrance and we headed to buy tickets. We spent for about 1-2 hours in the museum appreciating the great art work from renowned painters across the globe. We were tired by the evening and opted for a seine river cruise for a relaxed evening.

Day 3
Cycling was on our agenda today! We both were highly fascinated by different cycle operators around the french capital. We chose Donkey Republic and took 2 cycles near the Luxembourg garden stand. It was left hand riding for our first time and we spent good 1 hour with our colorful bright orange bikes. Later we proceeded to the famous Notre Dame cathedral. We spent for about an hour inside appreciating the French Gothic architecture and the colorful rose window. Offered prayers and visited the entire chapel. We had evening to ourselves. Spent time strolling along the Seine river, shopped till we dropped from Le Forum des Halles and Le Bon Marche, relished the Amorino ice-cream, viewed sunset from the love locked bridges and returned to our hotel. Breaking boundaries we expanded our reach to try and experience the french culture.

Day 4
We had planned the entire day for our Disneyland venture. There are 2 parks and we weren’t sure of which one would be better so we bought tickets for both the parks (DisneyLand Paris and Walt Disney Studios) Lol ๐๐ There are 5 magical themed lands in Disneyland and 4 action packed zones in Walt Disney studio. Ideally 3 days are recommended but since we were running short on time, we planned to cover all in a day. We relived our childhood in every way possible and experienced the fireworks as well ((Fireworks @DisneyLand Paris)) Appending some pictures and the map featuring highlights of both the Parks.

Paris had completely lived up to our expectations and we enjoyed our stay to every bit. Had an early morning flight and we returned back to New Delhi carrying loads of memories from our Euro trip. It was a trip of our lifetime.
Hope you enjoyed reading this blog and is all set to plan yours. ✈
